Elders at Winchester First Church of God are spiritual leaders who oversee all decisions regarding financial accountability, fiduciary responsibility and serve as the guardians and protectors of the church’s vision.

How long have you been at WFCOG?
We have been at WFCOG since 2017 although it seems like a lot longer. Our daughters Emma and Brianna started preschool at Clark Co. Christian in 2008 and it has felt like home ever since.
Can you share some of your testimony?
I didn’t grow up in a Christian family or attend church on a regular basis. I did learn some very important characteristics growing up like hard work, integrity,  and generosity. My mom was a single parent and having  a good work ethic and being grateful for what we worked for was learned early on. However, I was missing the best relationship you could only hope for. Knowing God and having a relationship with Jesus has transformed my life. I was a “good” person but when I understood how serious my sin was and what Jesus did to save me, I turned from everything I was hoping in and living for to trust in Christ.
What are you passionate about?
I’m passionate about caring for my family. Spending time with them, loving on them and making sure they know I love them, and being a good role model for my children. I’m passionate about moving forward in my faith journey. Learning, growing, practicing and becoming a passionate follower of Jesus Christ; and inviting others to become passionate followers of Jesus Christ.
Do you or did you have a job outside of WFCOG? If so, where?
I have worked for  Walmart for 31 years. I am the Vision Center Manager and Licensed Optician.
What are some of your favorite things to do?Spending  time with my family of course, we love going to concerts and all things outdoors. Hiking, kayaking, swimming and traveling. I also love to read. Spending time with our Life Group families is also a very rewarding part of my life.
